The holidays are upon us and the BAUDL is celebrating with an Acrostics Contest! Win $100.00 for yourself (and $25.00) for your coach by writing an acrostic poem and submitting it to your coach or to jennifernguyen@baudl.org. Directions at the break.
The BAUDL is more than just debate – it is a forum to speak your mind about the most important issues of our generation, to develop the words that are the vehicles for your brilliant thoughts, and to use the power of speech to transform the world. We don’t just train debaters – we foster writer, thinkers, and poets.
This is your chance to express what the BAUDL means to you in the form of an acrostic poem – and to possibly win $100.00 (and $25.00 for your hardworking coaches!) as an early holiday present. To write an acrostic poem, you would take a word, write it vertically, and match an adjective or a phrase that begins with the letter of the word. For this competition, you will use each letter of the BAUDL to describe the attributes of our organization and our participants.
To enter, fill out this form and return it to your coaches by Wednesday, December 8, 2010. A committee will select the winner, which will be announced on Saturday, December 11 at the Balboa High School Tournament.
Good Luck! You could win $100.00!
